Weekly Photo Challenge: (Extra)ordinary

(Extra)ordinary: Maybe it’s a choice; just a fuller way of embracing the ordinary. If we keep our eyes fresh and our hearts vulnerable, then we witness the workaday world blossom (extra)sweetly.  It becomes natural to feel (extra)grateful for common miracles and everyday kindness–letting it all be as (extra)precious as the common dirt that holds us all together.

(WordPress Photo Challenge is a weekly prompt to share a photo–I enjoy twisting these macro prompts to share our micro life here on the Colorado prairie. My photos are taken with my phone, on my farm. No psych, definitely not high tech.)

  1. How absolutely beautiful !!!!
I am in Zion on vacation with my husband and I am reading “Stable Relation” . I cannot put it down. What a fantastic story . I am with you in the snow storm right now . WOW !!!!!!!
You are a wonderful writer …

    • Nina, thank you so much for giving it a try. And it gets warmer soon!! As you finish the book, remember this good horse. It’s all about him. Thanks again, leave a review on Amazon if you like, but either way, thank you so much for taking the time to read it.

      • I just read your beautiful tribute to Windy… I am so happy that I was able to read it in this magnificent Cathedral called Zion National Park. Needless to say, my tears are flowing like the River I am sitting next to…Heartfelt

  2. Great post and picture. Sometimes it feels animals share such deep emotions, we just have to be there in the right place at the right time to catch them. You did it!

    • Cristi, thank you. It’s hard to get noticed; I’m a stray dog hair in the literary universe, thank you for taking the time, and most of all, for recommending it. It takes a huge village, and I appreciate it more than you imagine. I’m sure of it!!

  3. You must be “winding down” to surgery? I guess not mentioning it is stoic??? I would imagine its going to be this week sometime. If so – know that I and I presume, everyone who comments here will have you in their mind & prayers. I do want you to know that this WILL make a difference once you have suffered thru the 6 (maybe 4) week stall rest.

    • Not stoic… just didn’t think anyone was counting days with me. Surgery is this Friday and it’s been a real rush to get ready. Thank you so much for your kind thoughts and prayers. I’m touched that you notice…
