Weekly Photo Challenge: Weight(less)

“In Chinese philosophy, yin and yang describes how opposite or contrary forces are actually complementary, interconnected, and interdependent in the natural world…” –Wikipedia

An unneeded bit of fluff will soon be devoured by the soil; the sky meets the earth. It’s a sharp contrast for just this moment: Weightless to density, lightness to dark, dry to wet. Opposites attract.

So much of the beauty in nature, and in us, is that unique balance of feathers and mud.

(WordPress Photo Challenge is a weekly prompt to share a photo–I enjoy twisting these macro prompts to share our micro life here on the Colorado prairie. My photos are taken with my phone, on my farm. No psych, definitely not high tech.)

Hmmm…in spiritual circles they claim that finding a feather means one has been visited by an angel. I wonder, is it an angel’s assignment to stand in the gap of these opposites? So many mysteries…

“So much of the beauty in nature, and in us, is that unique balance of feathers and mud.” I like this analogy (& the pic, too). I’m new to your blog and was wondering when you started it. I’m totally enjoying your insight and perception of our world through your furry family’s eyes. Thank you. Looking forward to reading your books as well.

    1. Thanks for stopping by. I’ve been blogging for 6 years… and I also blog at http://www.annablake.com, that’s the writing/author stuff. The early essays in Relaxed and Forward are from my first years. Again, thanks for finding us. I appreciate your kind words. (I especially liked that post too.)
