Photo Challenge: Grace-ful

It’s an intimate moment,
a recognition of soul,
held and acknowledged,
then returned in kind.

Softly now, abide.

  1. I have not been to visit with him in over a year.
I have been living out of the country.
Called his name and he left his feed to meet me at the gate.
I sat near his feeder and listened to him chew.
He put his muzzle in my hair …took a deep breath…. Then exhaled.

    Yes Grace

Thank you for your words Anna. Often your writings fit perfectly with the rhythm of my life. This meeting happened yesterday.

  2. Every time (just about)! I come here, spend some time, and then I want to, but can’t, re-read right away because there is too much water in my eyes. I know you won’t take me for a masochist when I say: Thank You.

    1. Oh, it isn’t just that people thought we’d get over our horse “phase”, it’s that it keeps getting bigger. I do it, too. Let’s call them beauty tears. Thanks, Nuri.

      1. Wait a minute – we were supposed to “get over” the horse craze? Thats not happening – and youre right – with or without actual hands-on horse activity – NEVER going away!

  3. Just when I think I’m going to get the old heave-ho, he stops eating his hay to rest his head ever so lightly on my chest; then goes back to eating. Beauty Tears, indeed!
